The View From Halfway Down is the eighth episode of the Netflix original series Bojack Horseman. Where The View From Halfway Down Begins
The View From Halfway Down opens with Bojack waking up in a hospital bed, surrounded by his friends and family. He is confused and disoriented, and it quickly becomes clear that he has overdosed on pills. Bojack is then visited by the ghost of his mother, Beatrice (Jane Krakowski), who died when he was a child. Beatrice tries to comfort Bojack and tells him that he is not alone.
The next ghost Bojack encounters is Sarah Lynn (Kristen Schaal), his former co-star on Horsin’ Around. Sarah Lynn died of a drug overdose in the previous season. Sarah tries to get Bojack to come with her, but he refuses.
The next ghost Bojack meets is his ex-girlfriend Charlotte (Alison Brie). Charlotte died in a car accident in the previous season. Charlotte tries to get Bojack to come with her, but he again refuses.
Finally, Bojack meets the ghost of his former friend and mentor, Herb Kazzaz (Stanley Tucci). Herb died of cancer in the previous season. Herb tells Bojack that he is proud of him and that he has to go back.
